Janet
Stahle-Fraser is a printmaker/painter with an
M.A. in philosophy from the university of Guelph
in Ontario. Her work includes woodcuts, etchings,
monotypes and mixed media. She also
creates hand-bound/hand-printed books and wall
hangings that incorporate her blockprints and
poetry. Janet's work has been shown in The Art
Gallery of Ontario, the McMichael Gallery and
internationally. She is the recipient of numerous
awards, and has been a guest on CBC's Morningside
with Peter Gzowski.
Her
work has been featured in Canadian books,
magazines and newspapers, many solo and group
shows and may be found in Muskoka Ontario
galleries, including her own Tapawingo Gallery,
as well as in private and corporate collections.
